History
It was on October 17, 1966 when the first Zippy restaurant was opened on South King Street in Honolulu by brothers Francis and Charles Higa. Since then, they have grown and expanded to 22 locations all over Oahu, Islands of Maui, and Hawaii. Aside from Zippy’s, the owners also included other operations such as Napoleon’s Bakery, Osaka Okazuya, Kahala Sushi at Zippy’s Kahala, and the Sushi Bar at Zippy’s Pearl City, which strengthened their business and offered more choices for their customers.
