History
On 18 April 1988, Philip J. Romano opened the first Romano’s Macaroni Grill in Leon Springs, Texas. By 22 November 1989, Brinker International, Inc. purchased its franchising rights and increased the number of restaurants in succeeding years.
There have been changes in ownership through the years, too. The previous owners included Mac Acquisition LLC and Ignite Restaurant Group. The current owner (since April 2015) is Redrock Partners LLC.
