History
George McKerrow, Jr. and his father were the founders of Longhorn Steakhouse that had its humble beginnings in Atlanta, Georgia in 1981. McKerrow learned his knowledge in dining from his stint at a Victoria Station, where customers dine in a restaurant themed with railroad cars. Since its early years of operation, Longhorn was already popular for serving high quality grilled steaks. Today, the restaurant is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Darden Restaurants, Inc. with corporate office in Orlando, Florida.
